Bundaberg journalist Nigel Brennan travelled to Somalia with a Canadian reporter to cover the humanitarian and food crisis, the ongoing conflict and drought that has ravaged Somalia for nearly 20 years. Four days after arriving in Mogadishu, they where ambushed just outside the capital. They were to be held hostage for the next 462 days.
