It's 1957, Fairbanks, Alaska and Jack Mabie claims to be the meanest man in the territory, having robbed and murdered his way through the gold rush days. When he is found beaten to death followed soon after by two more violent deaths, Edna believes the three murders are connected. Meanwhile, debates rage over potential statehood.
